i enlisted and everything. then it came time to go to the hotel and swear in. but they never came to get me. so here i am going to college. what gives.

My god-brother just returned from the middle east (for the second time) Sunday morning. I know it doesn't have meaning to anyone else on the boards, but I'm fxcking happy. :-D

Option 40 - Airborne Ranger

Got a lot of training ahead of me before I even get assigned to a battallion hehe.

Hell yeah you got a lot of training ahead of you. There are a few guys going airborne in my AROTC class so I can kind of relate. Hope it never comes to this, but hey, you might be calling ME in for air support one day.

you can get a waiver if you have PRK eye surgery done to correct it.

Yeah I've got about 6 months of training at Benning comin up, then it depends on what battallion i get assigned to. If I get assigned to the 3rd Ranger battallion I'll be at Benning a whole lot longer heh.

PRK...is that like lasik? I have really bad eye site too. Just turned 18 and just got enlisted in the selective services, so in case of any emergencies I'll have to do the same (mandatory?) as Violent Apathy.
