ok i'm confused
so lots of the reasoning for these attacks by insurgents in iraq is because they want to wreck the planned handing over of power to the iraqi government on june 30th this year (this is according to the newspapers i read and the ap). okay wait a second...now how does that make sense. so that phrase in essence means that they do not want us to hand over power to the iraqi government? so it's like they want us gone, but they don't want us gone? am i stupid or am i missing something?

Well...they want us gone, but they don't want a U.S friendly form of government installed. They want all western influence out and they want things to be the way they were before. The new government is willing to cooperate with us and that's why they're trying to kill people who want to be a part of that.

And "they" are terrorist organizations such as Al Quada (sp) and old Baath party members. It's not the iraqi civilians or military or police. |

we'll leave but I don't see it happening anytime soon because of the resistance we are encountering in the switch over...
I would love to see it settled and behind us ASAP... |
