Ok. So they physically totaled the car yesterday. I bummed. What does that entail? What, do they crush it up or something?

I imagine thats what they do. I think it only goes to a junkyard if there are enough parts undamaged that its worth keeping around. I think they put it in a crusher, flatten it out, load it on a truck and haul to a scrap metal dealer. At least thats what I've seen down in our junkyard part of town.

That's sad. Poor little car. This is all because of a flat tire.

Yes, if they physically total it then they crush it. I've got a friend who's sent 3 SVO Mustangs to the crusher...I think I died inside a little more with each one.

Bad luck...not really. These guys (brothers) drive the shit out of the cars. SVOs are setup to handle but one of them decided it could take a fairly sharp bend in a residential at about 65mph. It probably would have were it not for his cheap ass tires. Another slide sideways into a transformer at school after trying to powerslide the car to show off. The third car actually wasn't their fault. The younger brother got T-boned by a guy who wasn't paying attention to a red light and speeding. The two dipshits are just lucky to be alive. The younger also had a 4th SVO that wrecked while driving on a country road (the wheel caught the side of the road which had no curb....just a 3-4 in drop to some grass) but he wasn't being stupid...I was in the car. It was totaled by the insurance company but he sold it for $2K to a body shop tech who fixed it up. So I'll say 3 1/2.

I've been driving for almost 5 years now. Including my Accord, I've had 6 cars.
1. Chevy Cavalier(94). My first car. I wrapped around a tree 9 days after I got it. And that was 12 days after I had gotten my license.

2. Camaro(90). This car was my Dad's and he handed it down to me after I totaled the above mentioned car. This car was taken away from me about 7 months after I started driving it.

3. Geo Storm(92). I hated this car. This is what I had to get after the Camaro. At one point, I stopped putting the necessary fluids in it. Eventually, it went up in flames while I was driving it. I lost power steering and took out about 10 construction cones.

4. Toyota pickup with a wooden flatbed (87). This truck was awesome. On the wooden flatbed, it had TEAM SKOAL painted on the back and El Guapo painted on the brushguard. The engine actually just went in it. Which is why I bought the Neon.

5. Neon (95) Clearly, I don't have to tell you what happened.

6.Honda Accord (97). I've had it since 99. I bought it after I blew up the Storm. This is my baby. I miss it a lot. I'll be taking it out soon. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to change the guages because I got some crappy instructions.
