95' Civic 2 Door Coupe - Where to?

Typically, what is a good place to start with the more hardcore mods (beyond cosmetic)

My friend suggested to start with a new header and a CAI. I'd read for my car, a 4-2-1 was good for the header and I see a million different CAI kits online...

Is there any difference between mfgs of either, or should I start somewhere else?
