Lights Dim

Well im just wondering how to stop my system from making the lights dim every Bass beat...its really noticable (900 watt max Alpine Type S 12inch sub) it just pounds....some people say get a Cap. OR even two...or put in a second battery to run the system itself?? what should i do...

yea thats what i was thinking too....i mean if i got a second battery...how would u hook it up so ur alternator charges them both?...and wouldnt i need a upgraded alternator then? :o

i think the bigger alternator is the bigger solution, but caps are cheaper. i think 1f will be enough. just some calcualtion but at max power your amp draws 57-75amps

how much will a bigger alternator be? WHo makes em for my car? i looked at a cap. here...its like 150 bucks plus tax...

just get a 1 farad cap, and call it quits. plus it adds a little to the system especially with the digital readout!

ha...ya funny thing is....just blew my sub last night there isnt an distortion...but i can hear just a LITTLE bass coming from it...GRRR but it wont turn up louder...god i hate this....

if there is no distortion, than it might not be the sub. what setup were you running
