Reduce heat.
I'm getting a vehicle sunshade and a towel on the steering wheel to reduce the heat.

i got sun shades for my car, i should look into tinting i have connections

heh, i like hot things expecially girls
  but tinting would be your best bet because the good film rejects a lot of heat, but then again the tint does not cover the windshield

I have tint, but in this florida sun my car bakes
shift knob and steering wheel both can leave serious marks, lol it sucks

I've never bothered, but the top of my steering wheel has started to blister (or whatever). It's pretty sad. The only thing I really do is take my radar detector down and hide it away from the sun.

I have a STEEring wheel cover and my wheel steal gets hot, as far as the sun shades go i used to have a pair but my puppy dog took a shlt on them and i had to through them away :o

Ya man, sunshades are the way to go. I almost always use them to keep the interior from getting messed up.
