It looks good but, i dunno... it looks kinda weak.. really plasticy but i havent held one so i dunno. Maybe the iRiver Odysse-300. I want something that i can expand the memory too. Any suggestions?

i know the kiddo i work with got one last year for xmas and his is awesome..it was teh cheap "classic" brand sold at circuit city. you can upgrade teh memory and i know for afact this will withstand any abuse you can dish out to it! he threw it off a rollercoaster and when we found it it worked beautifully!he is very rough on things and if it lasts a week with him then it will last a lifetime for a regular person. btw he has had it over ayear now and it sounds brandnew.

I've got the 20GB iPod for Windows right now - I'm going to reformat it to mac format once the G4 arrives later this week.
Last year I ripped all of my CDs onto a big hard drive of one of my servers and setup a web page in the house to stream them from - pretty sweet deal overall... |

the only portable things that play mp3's are my laptop and my in dash cd player. by the time the mp3 cd gets from one end to the other the car is due for an oil change.
becky: just get him a portable cd player with mp3 capabilities. there are a bunch of those around and they are around $100 at circuit city
