94 accord won't start. D4 light flashing.
hi. i'm new to these forums and i appreciate any help i could get.
i have a 94 accord auto. it usually starts fine, but every now and then it will not start. when that happens, the D4 gear light flashes (even though it's in park). i've found that if i let it sit for a few minutes, while continuously turning the key to the ON position, the D4 light will stop flashing eventually, and the car starts right up. i should also note, when this problem occurs, the engine cranks, but it doesn't turn over. not until the d4 light stops flashing. could this be the main engine relay (aka fuel pump relay)? |

do u get an check engine light too ? I know i had the same problem last year. the car wouldn't start, and if it did the check engine light will be comming on then the d4 willl flash. I took it to the mechanic and he told me that i needed some sensors changed. that was the main problem. Do u know how to check the ecu for codes ?

i still think you have a sensor issue. Check your car for codes, althou the transmission has it's own control module it it might be possible that the ecu won't spit out the codes. The best bet will be to take the car to a mechanic.
