No Start Issue

I'm looking at a civic with a d16 in it that won't start. It is back firing through the intake. Or thats what the person selling is saying. I haven't looked at it yet. Any ideas?

I'd start checking the obvious stuff!

Wrong firing order - massive vacuum leak - stuck valve - intakes adjusted too tight - and go from there...

My vote is for a vacuum leak. There could be multiple issues.

Vacuum leaks are a bitch.. Plugged cat perhaps? Has it been sitting for a while? Maybe some rodents built a nest in the exhaust. lol

I ended up passing on the civic. Bought my girl another car instead. Couldn't pass up the condition and price of the vehicle.
