Do they make programs to run for your car?

Im asking cause one of my friends wants to put one in for his stereo system, and i was wondering if they made programs to run that or if you had to write one. If they do make one, about how much do they run for

I imaging you'd need a laptop and a compatible CD deck. I don't know too much about audio though, and I haven't heard of a system like this.

Are you just talking audio?
Audio wouldn't be hard at all, but yes you'd need to write your own software.

Anyhow, I'm actually working on a project....er.... Can't give out the details or I'd have to kill you all. And no its not another MP3 box.
