starter....
As of last week my starter felt like it was going bad. Every time I would start the car it, it would start a little more sluggish than it did the last time. Finally one afternoon it would not start at all. I would still get the lights but the car would not crank. I changed the battery because it was time for a new one anyways but the car still does not start. When I turn the key all I can hear is the fuel pump for a second. Theres no clicking noise or anything else coming from the starter. If I hit the starter with a hammer and turn the key, it tries to crank but will not. Does it sound like I have a bad starter? I dont have too much expierience with this.

they are expensive, but be carefull, becuase i thought the starter went out in my hatch a couple years ago, and it turns out that it was the neutral safety switch, and that I fixed for free
