Some pics from Iraq

Hey guys. I'm in Q-West, Iraq right now...finally got here. Here are a couple of pics in case anyone is interested.

The kids love us here. They are all hungry and cold (it's freezing in the winter) and they don't have enough clothes. Everytime we'd stop our convoy (for a roadside bomb or something) they'd all come running up asking for food.

Anyway, here's the pics. Enjoy

Thanks for checkin in!

Way off topic...what kinds of animals do you see around there? Like wild animals. Just curious

Well, we mainly see sheep, goats, camels and wild dogs. That's about it.

Any other questions, like do people like us, whats it like, how often do we get attacked?

How's the Morale? How long do you have? I told all the people in my shop that if they are tagged to go and they don't want to...I would definately take their place...you guys probably think I am crazy...

Actually, most of the adults like us a lot more than i would've thought. They're mostly friendly, except for a few rough spots (fallujah, mosul) and they always smile and wave.

I'll write some more when i got time, but right now our Captain has my platoon working 8am to 11pm every day, 7 days a week and I've got to get back to work.

thanks for all the encouragement guys
