Blown speaker!
Hey guys! What's some good speakers out there? I just blew my right front co-axil and the driver's side is just hanging in there. I think they were Eclipse but not sure. I'm running a 360.4 Zapco with a Pioneer deck (pre amp used for back fill speakers only) and two Phoenix Gold Tantrum series 12's. I'm slowly upgrading each part of my system and I need some advise. Thanks!!!

would you like to upgrade speakers, i suggest that you get a component set, that way you will have highs sounding real nice. also could you post pics of your setup!

I want to get some separates but I want to keep it all stealth too. Where could I mount the tweeters where they wouldn't be too obvious but still sound good (or is that even possible)????

You seem to be serious about sound.. So you should definitely go with components (seperates).
The midbass would be mounted where your current front speakers are. The tweeter can be flush mounted on the top/front part of your door (cut into trim). Thats how its usually done. For brands, I'll need to know your budget. In case I forget to recheck this thread pls send me a PM.

I wanted to run separates but couldn't afford them at the time. I just upgraded the stock speakers so I wouldn't blow them. I know that I can run the mids where the stocks are but I just don't know where to put the tweeters without being too obvious. If they were mounted behind the door panels, even with it being perforated, wouldn't that mess with the sound quality?? I was thinking about maybe Polk or even some Bostons but I might be selling the car soon and if I put in the separates, I want to be able to take them out without leaving big holes in the dash or doors. I know I'm probably asking too much but I wanted to get your ideas too so I can bounce them around and see what I can come up with. Thanks again.

well then what you do is buy a cheap set of tweeters to go in the holes, so that way you can keep your set
