Removing Civic Dash

OK so I am trying to change my gauges, I removed the 2 screws on the top of the dashboard and I got the left side to pop out, altho this little black plastic snap cracked off.. but I can't get the right side where the vents, the clock and the emergency light button to pop out. Someone please help me.

You need to wiggle it a lot. It's hard the first time getting it out. You might actually need to pop the inside back in. Then put your hands in the middle of it- thumbs underneath and other four fingers on the side facing up. Then wiggle and pull at the same time. I did that with mine- it took a while, but it came off unbroken.

I got it out and I broke the screw which is actually behind the emergency signal button.. took me 2.5 hours to change my gauges.. lol now what about doing fog lights? Do I cut those plastic slits out of the lip? Thats the only way the lights will fit

In my car looking into the engine bay on the left hand side there is a black rubber plug I pulled the plug out cut a hole in it and ran the wires through that way, your civic may be different tho.
