he's back
it's been a while huh...
I finally traded in the WRX for a 98 Black Cobra. Tan seats too, just like the 96. It's a little weird driving the same car i hit a treet at 100 with but I'm getting used to it. The 2nd day i had it a new WRX was getting on the highway in front of me. this kid turns his head out the window to look at me and then punches it. i let him go for about 4 car lengthes or so, just put it in 3rd and drove passed him like he was standing still..... ahhhhh so glad to have my cobra again. let the modding begin. |

me from another forum (im the top geekz0r) the geekz0r (11:03:46 PM): basicly, look at it this way...the 6speed is the same is the 5speed in 2,3,4,5,and 6...only the speeds are different because of the fd the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc. PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then? the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao |

you should have got an 03 cobra-There are some people doing some sick shit to those because of the iron block pushing 30 psi and 1,000 hp turbo and n20

are you sure? I'll have to read up, but I thought the 03's had a stonger block than the rest because they used some ford racing parts.

Possibly forged.. but they have been iron blocks since 1964 1/4. I dunno about forged though.. maybe.. but doubt the company would put extra money onto forged internals. Cast are good to about 500hp/tq.

checkout this link
http://www.kcsr.org/viewtopic.php?t=4496 This guy has 629 hp easy on the stock block and there are some people who have switched to turbo who have gotten more power out of it. |

Can't see the link... but you can do any amount of power on any engine.. doesn't mean it is going to last forever. And I was not arguing with you.. maybe they are doing forged internals now.. Yay for ford.. I was just saying that they have always used iron blocks. Never used alum. |

i stay clear of trees... i actually drive pretty slow. I learned my lesson I think. I've been just doing stuff for looks for now, i don't have too much money to do anything major yet.
03 cobras have iron blocks with forged internals. i met a guy with a 730hp 03 cobra last week, over 30 psi with a kenne bell supercharger. he ran 10.49 at 26 psi, so he may be in the 9's. 96-01 cobra's have all aluminum blocks, GT's, etc have iron blocks. (pretty sure) |
