What would cause this?

Well we were driving around earier tonight, i was pulling out of this parking lot when my front bumper scraped a little bit, ok no big deal..
Now on to the problem at the next corner i used my left blinker and it was blinking fast, which means there is a porblem... so i get out and look and sure enough the front left blinker isn't blinking. so i went to walmart bought a replacment bulb. Got it in and still...the same thing. What would make it do this? the bulb lights up but doesn't blink.....any ideas?

just go underneath the front there and look for any loose wires around the bumper light...that should be the problem..

I had the same problem one time man. What happened was that my socket that you put the bulb in went bad, and I don't know why. I had to replace it. What you need to do before checking any of that wiring stuff is to take off your front bumper, take the socket from the working side and replace the bad side socket with the good one and see if it works. If it does, then it is the socket. If it is the socket, then I know that the 92-95 model civics have the same socket that the 96-00 does. Hope that helps.

There is like a little push button...you push and pull it...it is where the harness meets the socket.

Just a remark!
Remember NOT to touch the bulbs, some bulbs when touched the grease that u have in your hand would ruin it.

Before you go ahead and replace the socket, take a small screwdriver and scrape the little copper connectors in the socket, re-install the bulb and check it again. It could also be you may have got a bad bulb, take one from somewhere else and see if it still doesn't work.
