trip from hell!
ok 2 days before i was to leave for chicago my old dog got sick and then hurt his hip and had to be put to sleep. then the day i leave i have to go pick up his ashes, they reak! so i have my dad bury him in the yard with my other dog. well i almost miss my plane due to having to take the ashes out to his house. i getto t eh airport, get in line to board and i get treh random search! shoes and the entire suitcase emptied! this was my first flight and i wanted to cry!
get up to chicago, wow is ohare big! have a blast shopping untill i get sick with a horrible unrinary track infection. well i try to deal untill i get home last night before the flight home i get a high fever and am very lethargic. brian is flipping out he is very worried. so he calls the front desk and asks where the nearest urgent care center is. they say "we no have, go to hospital." (2 hours in trafic!) so i say no way i am not going to the er. (my mom died a year ago and ever since then i wont go to an er, she went into the er for pain meds and came out on her death bed...cancer..long story) so brian starts panicking and looked in the phone book. there is a 24 hour care center only 5 minutes away in a very nice ritzy areea i said ok i'll go. i getthere and get tested the get a prescription, and then tehy ask are you pregnant. i say not that i know of. and they say we'll lets run another pregnancy test. at this point we are both freaking because we use condoms but no pills (high cacner risk). well it comes back negative. then we search for an all night pharmacy, drive around for an hour. its now 1 am! go to sleep the next day goes good untill we get on teh freeway to teh airport. stand still traffic and we are already running late! get to teh airport turn in the rental car, get on teh bus, getto the airport terminal check in, stand in line for security (30 minutes)and brian then remembers teh key to the other rental car wich is at the airport in cleveland is in teh turned in rental car!so we have no ride home from teh airport once we fly in. brian gets his genius ide to try to go get the key i say no lets just call your dad. so thats how we got home from the airport once we landed. his company's car is stuck atthe airport untill we can geta kley cut for it monday. arrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh what a trip!!!!!!!  |

OMG, I'm really sorry to hear of everything that happened to you. Sounds like you had a really tough time. I guess on the bright side, things can only get better.

ok now that i am showered, feeling better, and my tummy is full with good food i am seeing how funny this all is. every trip i take i land in some kind of health issue. it all began when i was life flighted out of teh outer banks when i was 12. (i passed out due to pain and my mom thought i was seizing.) god i am just gonna hibernate. lol.........anyways i am home and ohhhhhhh sooooooooo glad to be home and with my computer! i was 5 days with no internet!! wahhhhhhh i need to find a lap top that i want.
oh the nice thing was the rental car that we got in chicago was a fully loaded mitsubishi galant with only 16 miles on it! it was actually a very peppy nice car. i was amazed. guess i shouldnt bad mouth mitsu's too much being that brian is a mitsu tech. he he he oh and teh other question is..........for all the vegetarians and health food people, what do you eat when you go out of town? i found no edible food in chicago! damn carnivores! lol |
