Accord Hatch? Good?

My girlfriend needs a new (used)car, and of course im pushing honda, or at least imports. There is a Honda Accord hatch at this one place, for like $1,250. Body is good, and the brakes have been redone. Exhaust is new also. Its a cool lookin car, but it seems to be an obscure model. Anyone have experience or comments with this model? I dont know the year.

It sports the Accord badge.. what more do you want..

For some reason that model is a little more resistant to rust than the sedans of the same year... The only thing to watch for is to make sure the hatch doesnt leak.

Okay thanks...Yeah, I havent even been inside this car, but if the electrical tape around the shift knob is any indication, then I'm sure there are other minor issues as well.
