The challenge has been made......
Well my firend has been working on his truck thanks to me turning him onto the whole modding your vehicle thing. Anyhow, last year he ran a 17.5. Now before you say that's not quick, this is a 97 F-150 Super Cab with a hard tono (however the hell thats spelled) cover AUTOMATIC. The only mods he had were an intake & exhaust. Basically a 5000lb vehicle.
Now he's added new headers, throttle body spacers, & a SuperChip (I think that's all).  This truck sheds rubber. I was amazed when I saw a pile of rubber on the pavement. Yes we could actually pick pieces of rubber up off the pavement.Well to cut to the chase, our local track starts Test & Tune March 23rd and he has laid out a challenge. I can't wait. I should by all means beat him, but we shall see. He's confident he'll keep up with me now. In my stock-like form he should keep up or at least be close. I don't think he knows about my secret plan. *cough*direct port*cough*nitrous*cough*. I don't think it'll be in by March but there will be rematches..... I'll try to get some pics of it. Its a nice truck. I'm not much into them, but his looks good.

one of my friends has a old z28 automatic. he ran 14.8's then he got a throttle body spacer, and is running constant 14 flats. its crazy i wouldnt have belived it if i didnt see the timeslips

 WoW that's pretty good for a truck. Why would he tune a truck though? Why not sell it and get a small vehicle from Honda? |

I can't believe spacers would do anything for a vehicle, but it sure did something...... It also adds a whistle to it when he revs....
