black spray paint???

Hey guys. i just be a nice 93 Accord SE with 87k miles on the odometer. I popped the hood when I was looking to buy it and very noticeably the majority of the engine was spray painted with a high heat black rustoleom. Why??? My dad looked at it and couldn't figure it out. The car was in a collision at one point but every thing that was messed up at one point is very well fixed and replaced. Carfax is a god... anyways, checked the engine code and it's the original engine. 140hp base h.p. base too So if anyone can think of some reason as to why he did this post up a suggestion. BTW, the guy I bought it from said he did it cause it was rusted. But at the same time he replaced the wires within the last year and a half and only half of all the wires is black. Just really weird. thanks guys.

maybe they did that just so the car looks nice. some people are more concerned with looks than with the way the car runs

Ask those chevy guys why they paint their blocks orange.

I cleaned my valve cover a little last weekend. Maybe I'll paint it too
