sandbox
blargh!!! i'm drunk and i'm mad that some more cool people i know are getting sent to play in the sandbox within the next week... it seemed so stagnant and "safe" when we enlisted...especially as korean linguists. i guess no one is safe from being sent to frolic in the sandbox, i just hope they all come back safe.

Sounds to me like she's upset that more and more of her friends are being sent to Iraq and when they enlisted, it didn't seem likely that they would be sent there. Her anguish is understandable. Many safe wishes to them all.

 anyways best wishes to your friends, I have a cousin and a friend I used to work with there, he writes in his Livejournal (online journal for those who dont know) every once in a while describing his days in the desert, the sounds he heres around the clock, the explosions. the gunfire, the yelling..and the silence. It's really depressing reading some of his shit. I wish the best of luck to all, and hope this ends soon even with the odds against it
