takin ur head off
after u get the helms manual, i suggest the following:
take off the intake manifold and leave it on the car get some assembly lube to reassemble the head (cam/cams) spray ur head gasket with copper spray (available at ur auto supply store) for better sealing Good Luck!! |

it's not that hard but you gotta know what are you doing. make sure you unblot the head in the correct order or you might get warpage. also make sure that the engine wasn't started for the past 6 hour (cool off) or you might warp the head

well my 1st question is what head are you putting back on the motor? get your self a 96-00 head gasket from honda. much better than the older ones. while you are in there you may want to consider replacing the timing belt and possibly the water pump. one of the more difficult bolts to remove would have to be the lower pulley bolt(17mm) i would try to remove this first because beleive me it sucks to have alot taken off and then you cant get that bolt off!!!
if you are reusing the same head i would just leave the intake manifold on the head. as far as the exhaust manifold goes , im sorry but that has to come off. i personally have never used a helms manual let me know how it goes.....i'll do what i can to help |
