I ate like a marine today
Today I was given a military standard issue Ready-To-Eat Meal Pack.
Menu #15 - Grilled Chicken Patty It also included Mexican Rice, Pound cake, crackers, grape jelly, coffee, gum, tobasco sauce, lemon/lime and cocoa drink mixes, and a badass plastic spoon (super quality) Here are some pics: What the outside of the package looks like Top left: Lemon/Lime drink mix Top Right: Cocoa drink mix Bottom left: Mexican Rice Spoon Bottom Right: Pound Cake (Not pictured) Chicken (packaged same as rice...in a box) Extras Coffee, Sugar, Salt, Matches, Mint Gum, Mini-bottle of Tobasco, Napkin, and moist towelet Heat Pack Overall I have to say that its pretty good...rice was excellent. Only thing that truely sucked ass was the pound cake and the drink mix tasted kinda like how moth balls smell... But as a final rating I give it a 4/5 Edit* for those of you that only see red x's Last edited by pdiggitydogg : 03-22-2003 at 01:16 PM. |

I have a bunch of those, maybe a little different contents wise, but all the same. Not bad.

yeah dude it wasnt bad...I could see eating those on the field
its a hell of a lot better than the food I ate in the dorms last yr..."Garlic-y Herb Packs" was something that was actually on the menu for 3 days...and it was just this hot pocket thingy that was filled w/ garlic and herbs...not even cheese. So the MRE was 100% better |
