Model questions, EX, LX, etc.???

Well I just spent the last few minutes searching through 22 pages and still am a little clueless. I'm lookin to get a Honda sometime in the next couple of months so trying to get some knowledge before I hit the streets.

Anyways, what I want to know is which model to be looking for. All the creature comforts would be nice but not 100% necessary. Basically I'm looking for the fastest model I can get for a max of $10k. Years between 92-00 with the newer more appealing. I came across one thread that helped some but want more clarrification. Its looking like the EX and Si models are what I'm looking for. Which models within the specified years have the DOHC VTEC motor? I'm not interested in the Hatchbacks so that can be eliminated.

One other question, what is the average MPG of DOHC VTECs?
