Hello Pimp88Accord.
Welcome to HS! So what do you have done to your car? Looks to be in mint condition for an 88..

Sounds great. BTW, if you are going turbo, I highly recommend putting in an H23 engine. You'll save money and it will be a stronger setup due to the lower compression.

whats the difference in size between an h22 and an h23? cause the h22 already requires heavy modification to get it to fit.

I believe they are the same size. They both drop right into a 4th gen+ I believe.

well, i got a 3rd gen, and if the h23 is bigger at all than the h22, then i dont think it would fit. since the h22 already needs extensive customization of the engine bay

oh yeah a 3rd gen will either have a A20a1 or 3 or B20a1 or 3. Which one do u have ?
h22 and h23 is are exactly the same except for a difference in stoke from the crankshaft and head. the f22 will fit because it was used on prelude s' i think. Engine | Displacement | Power | Torque |Compresion ratio ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- H23A1 | 2259cc | 160@5800|156@4500| 9.8:1 H22A1 | 2156cc | 190@6800|158@5300| 10.0:1 the h22 was introduced in 1993

well, actually, i'll probably try to shoot for 10k but i dont know.
it would include h22/h23, custom turbo setup (around 20 psi), 5spd swap, custom fit ground fx, paintjob, and probably some true coilovers, and probably a few other minor things |

engine and tranny $2300 (h22) from www.jdm1.com/main.html
true coilovers $1300 from www.summitracing.com so for a total of 3600 you get the engine and the coilovers. Don't know about the engine installation. Prolly you are looking at 1500 tops for the ground effects so it will put you in the $ 5k and the paint will be less than 1k. dunno just adding up.

here are some relative CDN prices.....
H23 w/tranny and axles - 2000 H22 w/tranny and axles - 2500 install ~900 True Coilovers- i cant remember which ones they were... but they were 1500 and they wernet crappy kinds... but then are their really crappy true coilovers?!?! Kits range from 600 (fibreglass) - 3000 (urathane brand name) Paint all depends on what kind of finish and what you want.... typically tho.. for a show quality finish which includes buffing and the whole nine.... its ~3000... but the look ends up being a whole lot nicer than regular paint jobs.... if you want just a regular paint job... a 4 door will do you for around 1500.. so really if you had 6000 CDN... you can go a long way here... |
