Interior Neon Lights-placement ideas?
i drive a 91 2dr accord lx and i was wondering if anyone has any idea about where i should put my neon light bars? I have 2 blue ones that are about 15" in length with only about 10-12" of actual neon showing. I hooked it up in my cig lighter tonite and they aren't actually all that bright. I WAS planning to put them under each front seat but it looks kinda lame. SO i was thinking about under each dash area (by the pedals etc) and that would look kinda cool. Does anyone else have any good suggestoins on where i coudl put them. ALso, i figured out how to hook them to a swithc instead of the cig lighter so it's not so sloppy. thx AND don't forget my town has stupid cops that will pull me over if they see a trace of light in my car. Now my car will have 2 blue interior neon tubes and a blue panasonic deck as well as blue tubing around my 12" RF sub.sweeet

I wired the positive wire from the lights straight to battery and then the negatives from the lights to a switch and then from the switch to a ground and everything works awesome.

Under the dash would be your best bet and spot so they are hidden and you have a nice glow that emmits from under the dash....
I have 2 blue rods under my dash and love it...Just hard wired them to a toggle switch so I can turn them on and off when I want to... good luck on the install and hope it turns out good for you.... |

in florida they are only illiegal if you can see the bulb, if you can hide them completly under the car, your fine.

It is said to be a "distraction" to other drivers. Especially blue and red lights because they are sometimes confused with as being emergency vehicles..

I have one set of mini's under the dash so they light feet. Thats really sweet and I have another set in the back near my rear passenger's heads on the sides (ghost passengers because coupes arent made for hauling any more than 2 people). I have the switch too. I plan on underbodies soon. Oh and they're illegal in Michigan too but since most of the final outcome of the car will be illegal why not start with a little fun?

Ok...i think i already typed it in this OLD forum, but i put 2 blue neons that pulse to my music underneath the dash. They are the 15" style ones. And i also have a complete neon underbody kit which is also blue.

I have 2 blue neons under my dash, and a 12" liquid crystal in my back seat, and installed a switch for all 3 of them. Check it out.

Just today I got 2 15" red neons and stuck them under the dash and hell it's probably the nicest thing my car has on it hah plus they match my CD player face
interior car = black and red exterior car = Black and Silver Problem is they are the ones you just hook into your cigarette lighter plug cause I don't really know how to wire them or even if I can, but it looks fine the way it is I also want to get two mini red and stick them on the back of the center console so my passengers (the girls ;-)) will be all "ohhh ahhh" ^_^ |

I have 9" minis under each side of the dash under the knee panels, 5" ultra mini under each seat connected to the door pin, when my door opens the car glows. I also have and 20" in the trunk connected to the trunk light, open trunk it glows Personally I think it's dangerous and no offense but queer to have them on all the time.
