Speedo Sensor
I have a 2003 accord with a bad speedo sensor. The dealer has ordered a new one. The tech says the clip on the old one is broken so he's going to replace it. He pushed the old one back on and the speedo worked and the check engine light went off...well the light came back on and the speedo isn't working again. can someone tell me where this sensor is located so i can try and push it back on again. I looked around and don't see anything hanging. I tried a couple other forums and either no one knows where it is or they don't want to tell me...thanks

i have no idea man. i haven't seen the insides of an accord that's 98 or newer so it's hard to say. you don't need to look for something that's hanging, but look for wires. also i have no clue about the speed sensors on those accords. i know mine uses 2 and one is in front of the tranny the other one is behind the tranny

I'd say take it back again and try to get it fixxed under warrenty. I mean, it's practically a brand new car, you shouldn't be having these problems. Plus, it would suck if the dealership started giving you sh*t because you tried to fix it yourself.
Bottom line, take it back, make sure they fix it. If that doesn't resolve it, take it up with HondaMotors. It's a new car and you shouldn't have these problems. (And I know I'm rambling, kinda scattered brained tonight). -Ducky

Yeah they're going to fix it but it's a pain in the a@$ driving on the highway til the part comes in not knowing how fast i'm going.I know honda won't front me any speeding fine money.Figured if i knew where the sensor is i could push it back on when it comes loose.
