Molding shaving

Anybody know how to shave the side moldings of the 92-00 Honda Civic?

On the 96-00 you have to pull the side moldings off and there will be hole and an indentation... It will require a lot of welding to shave the bodyline in and it would probably be really hard to get it and make it look right.. You also have to be very careful not to warp anything.

Shaving the molding off an integra is easy cause you just have to fill the holes in.

What if you were to "fill" the indentation by riveting a piece of aluminum or something inside the indentation, and then fiberglass/bondo on top of that? I want to do this myself, but I lack the welder/skills to weld anything. Has Anybody done this without welding, and came out with a crack-free finish???

Dont know how riveting would work Id be affraid of the bonda cracking if it was done that way.. I would look more toward some lead filling, or the Weld in a tube stuff that hardens like metal.. Im not making any promises, just some more thoughts..

I dont think its JB Weld.. I cant remember the name of the stuff, It comes in a squeeze tube when you apply it, it hardens then you grind the extra off.. If I can think of the name of the Stuff Ill post it here..
