head gasket
Check this out, I can run a headgasket for about two months, when I let the car idle it builds heat and the head gasket blows out. Now it doesnt just go right away, it takes a while, like two months!! Or if I idle the thing like say over an hour (in line to get into McCormick center to HIN). The car will build temp up even if the fan is on all the time, I have wired my fan up to a switch to have it on constantly. I've replaced the head gasket about 4 times all last season. I have yet to remove it and get it checked for straightness.
I am just looking for any reasons you ppl might have experienced on this issue. I do NOT want to get the head "O" ringed as that will then not be blowing my head gasket but my block. Head gasket is cheaper to replace than a whole motor. Holla, with your opinions................................ Peace, G FLICK |

did u increase the CR ? maybe one of the cooling lines in the engine are blocked. maybe your timing is too retarded

CR-ok, timing is not retarded any, and I've replaced all the cooling lines with new ones. Thanx for the thought though.

Possibly, we are in process of testing it right now. Testing various t-stats, with mad dyno time.
Right now the hotter the t-stat the better the car seems to run. Thanx for all the help. |

coolant temp sensor? it's possible for it to be out of range, but not far enough to give a check engine light. the ecu looks at coolant temp when it determines idle mixture, speed, and timing. just another possiblilty

yeah, thought that too crx. put a new sender and gauge in it, but, then i put in the AEM plug-n-play and i can monitor it all.
Didnt change anything, but thanx. G FLICK |
