Tanabe, Greddy or A'Pexi?
Hello! I was wondering if any of you could recommend one of these cat-back exhausts makers for my 1994 Honda Accord LX. My main criteria is performance then low sound.
These are my choices... - Tanabe Racing Medallion - Tanabe Hyper Medallion - Greddy Evolution - A'pexi World Sport Any recommendations will be helpful and experiences if any of you have used one or more of my choices. TIA! |

Hi TIA
WELCOME TO HONDASTYLE
where are u from ? well for the exhaust i would go with Racing Medalion, but a lot of times you are paying for the brand. you can have the same results from a custom exhaust 2.25" or 2.5" mandrel bent pipe not crushed pipe for half the price.

Hi, and welcome to HS!
I like the Racing Medallion, but my all time favorite is the tanabe dtm dual tip setup. That's what I'm going to get when I do my exhaust.

Thanks for the warm greetings!!
So far everyone seems to like the Tanabe RM but reading the different posts it seems that its the loudest of them all. Is there a silencer that comes with it? |

Hmm.. I like the fact that the tanabe Rm has a silencer that comes with it. Right now I am leaning towards the Tanabe RM. I plan on ordering it by Friday so I have 2 days to do more research and hear your input!
Speak now or forever hold your peace!! hehehe -John |

I love the sound of the EVO, but strongly dislike the huge tip. I'm just not about that.

Apex
I just put an APEX World Sport cat-back on my 94 accord, and i like it. It sounds pritty much stock, but I can tell a difference in power. VERY stock sounding. Also, all the pictures I found of the muffler made the tip look small, but in real life, it's pritty beafy. about 3 1/2"-4" diameter. It only sticks out about an inch from the bumper as well. Also, it hung very well, and there is no rubbing anywere.
Overall if you don't want a load system I would highly recomend the Apex WS. |

How'd you get the kit on a 4th gen? They only make it for the 5th. Custom piping?

you can still find the rear sections, and i had a 2.25 in mid pipe custom made. not that expensive either.
