OK, i'm sick of this CEL!
ever since the minor snow storm that we had here in VA beach, my car would pull a CEL. i checked the O2 sensor to make sure that it didnt get loose while plowing the snow. my car would bog a few times then CEL will pop up. i would reset it, but it will only last a few days then BAM! a freakin' CEL again. the weird thing is, my car would run (like normal) even with a CEL....shiet it even runs a little better with it being "on". so i got sick of it and decided to check the code. the biatch would contantly blink on a steady pace. no long blink....just blink and blink and freakin' blink. what the hell is this code? so i figure, maybe it's time to get a fuel flush since my scheduled maintenance is due. then i checked my spark plug and went ahead and replaced it with a new set of 7series NGK's gapped at .032. my ECU is reset and now the CEL is back on...........
i remember boosted3g's post about GReddy blue box's notorious pre-set on running "rich". this may have something to do with it. |

well if it would be a fuel problem the system would signal a 43 code. if it's a steday blink i think it might be code 1 whci is the o2 sensor #1

Where do you see the code on the ECU? I have a 2000 civic ex i found the ecu behind a cover on the passenger side under the glove box. I see the harnesses but i dont see any lights where the codes would appear.

The bosch OE sensor [just plugs right in to the stock sensor plug. they also have a universal one which is a little cheaper] was 80$ from Napa. Considerably cheaper then a sensor from honda [$220]. I know a couple peeps that havent had any luck with the bosch, and a couple that have. My stock O2 sensor was a Denso, so thats kinda what Id like to stay with if I can find one at a decent price.
