I used it in the del Sol, but only because Best Buy recommended it for the speakers, so I don't know what it would've sounded like w/out it.

I'd want to use it in the doors, and along the floor combined with some foam carpet padding stuff on the floor. maybe the trunk too. i'm just trying to reduce noises from the exhaust/intake/road/final drive gearing.

on h-t and other places i see some people say it worked really well with one guy actually testing it with the thing that measures sound and had a 3db drop in noise at 65mph. then i see some people who claim to have had the whole car done in the stuff and saw hardly any improvement. either way, i've already ordered a 36sqft bulk pack of it and just wanted to see if anyone on here had any feedback on the subject of sound deadening.

best buy BLOWS they did the worst dynamat installation i've ever seen in my friend's camry. My other friend has a mustang and he has fat mat (i think) in it which i guess is supposed to be thicker than dynamat. It seems to work okay.

When I put mine in I put it on the front door panels (inner and outer). After awhile I just removed it and started using large wads of cotton...which I do like and is light.

There is a similar brand (cant remember the name) but its 1/3 the cost and works just as well. Ive seen people use it on the floor, under the carpet and they were pleased w/ the reduction.

its heavy, but besides that it does work very well. what kind did you get? the extreme or regular? my friends were big db drag and sql heads so i herd quite a bit or difference at far as rattle and vibration reduction for music, im sure it would work the same for raod deadening noise

dynamat does make a difference, you will notice a much cleaner sound...and dont let circuitcity or bestbuy touch your car FOR ANYTHING!

i got the extreme, glad to hear it works and i dont care about an extra 30-50lbs if it means making my junk more quiet. thanks.

cool, thanks. yeah that same goes for midas/mieneke or i guess anyone other than you since they look at your car as just another vehicle to get in and out, while we on the other hand cherish 'em.

did you do the whole door? you didnt like the difference it made?

yeah theres a few out there, raammat being the most popular. i've heard weird stories about the cheaper stuff melting in hot weather and well i live in a desert so i'm not chancing it.

no I didnt do the whole thing. I just did around the speaker and maybe 1/2 sheet out around it...probably not the best thing but I was just experimenting.
