Score! Jdm!
WOO
Found a set of like-new '98 SiR EK4 headlights for cheap! No more yellow-stained, scratched up, broken-tabbed headlights for me soon! PLUS City Light! "Dude why didnt you get ctr lamps?!" Because I wanted the regular chrome, these are cheaper (way cheaper), they will match the clear-chrome fogs, will look like regular oe headlights so less chance of getting jacked (aka: less-bling) For those that dont know what they look like...theyre almost identical to usdm stocks except - no amber, no light deflector, city lights pics up when they arrive (AFTER xmas ) Oh, anyone remember that special bumper/headlight protective clear cover? |

city lights are like...i guess like day-time running lights is the closest comparison, but run when you turn the corner lights on
In japan people turn the main headlights off, switching to just city lights at stoplights so not to blind people across from them I guess its just jdm bling... |

SECRET!
Nah...I got the hookup through EKFour on honda-tech...I bought his old ones, for $180 shipped. If you look here in the classifieds you can find a guy who can get them...for over $300......*cough-ripough-cough* PasswordJDM sells them for $250 something (which is pretty good) brand new from honda edit**if you do get a pair, be sure to order the city light socket (which is the same part # as the license plate bulb socket) And the # IS...34304-SH3-A01 (keep it if you plan on ordering a set) Mine come with them though |

I'm gonna start off with all the basics I need to get the car going. It will be a P28 ECU programmed with S200, boost option, launch and full throttle shift control. Later on I will get ROM editor and data-logging so I can tune it myself. For now, I just need to get going and dyno tune with the Teg turbo |

maybe im wrong BUT... i heard city lights are NOT what you described at all.. actualy to start they are not on when the front amber is on.. because on jdm lights its ONLY on when you are turning and its blinking... i heard it like this... in jdm lights... there is no front constant side marker...(the amber) its ONLY lit when signaling city lights are run at night in well lit city due to the lack of need for real lights.. and they are stock hooked inline with a relay that turns them off when the headlight comes on.. the other differance is jdm ek lights lack the glare gaurd usdm lights have... making them APPEAR brighter.. *shrugs* |

oh did i say that they WERE brighter? If I did I apologize.
yeah I know they dont use the corners except for turning in japan...I just left that part out and said "when..ambers" or whatever as reference so it would be clear how they came on...I guess it wouldve been corect to say that though. I got my info from my friend who was born and raised in japan for 18yrs...Toyama, Jp Granted, perhaps its different in different parts of the country but I have heard both ways. I know that they do it in Toyama for a fact - she is a video camera freak and makes all kinds of films, several of which are driving at night... |

hmm.... i think you took that the wrong way... i am genuinly curious of what they are REALLY for... NOT to be right or wrong.. as my information about them is all second hand... |

no not at all.. i just said that because when i first installed mine, people were like your headlights are so ****ing bright... but i think it is mostly the lack of glare gaurd.. just pointing that out, as one of the differances |
