turning to the "dark side"...

Well guys, this is it... I'm actually considering a Mustang or LS1 F-Body for my college car... It is looking more and more like I wont have the 30k or so saved up for an Audi S4, Vette, Supra, etc, but will instead have about 23-25k to spend... There are many Saleen's and Cobras for sale around here for 20-25k in good condition with low miles, and the newer GTs and Z28s are a dime a dozen... with the 23k I could easily pick up one of these, stroke it, and procharge it for 500+whp... the other route would be working from scratch with the S4 or Supra and have no cash ready to mod it, and the Supra would be crazy expensive on just maintainance... so guys, its up to yall... convince me to NOT spend the 23k on a 500+rwhp solid-axle beast... think yall are up to task? I hope so...

Stay with a Honda? I don't even have a Honda now... and, no offense to anyone here, but I would never want to own a honda for straight-line speed... maybe for handling, but I want mostly straight-line speed and good handling, not just handling

Why do you want us to tell you that? Umm... if you want straight line speed, go for it.

I just like to get everyone else's opinions, because often when I get an idea in my head I fail to acknowledge the cons of something... just need yall to expose some for me

just keep in mind that something of that amount of power will get real bad gas mileage...so it might not be able to be a daily driver at all

dude... get a nice car for like 15k. beleive me, your going to want to spend alot of money at college that your parents wont give you. you will not have the time to be building a car and going full-time to college. i am currently parting my car out because im in need of money for college expenses, and im not talking about food/shelter/tuition, im talking about concerts, clubs, beer, fun, beer, vacations, stuff for your appartment etc etc.
