Semi-tuned 10 psi!!!
I cranked the Joe P again, this time to 10 psi. In doing this, I noticed that between 6k-7k rpms I leaned a little bit. I turned the AEM FPR up to 46 psi fuel pressure and tried it again. It never went below .80 volts. All I need now is to have Tom Payne tune my Hondata map so that I am spot on at lower rpms and part throttle. It runs a little too rich everywhere but 5k-7k at full throttle. Still, at 10 psi it is faster than hell. My left shoulder aches a little from fighting the torque steer at full throttle from 4k-7k in 2nd gear lol!!

Not been to the dyno yet, but TUNED I am sure to be anywhere in the 220-230 range.

if 10 is good 20 is better. Give Joe a few more turns
Disclaimer: 20 psi on stock internals will break shit |

Joe is staying put for now! Until I get tuned then I may run more, but I imagine that may not even be necessary!

Remember Lisa Kubo when last year she ran with 22psi and tried again with 17psi and dropped her time .50 secs, so Tuning is better than Boosting!!! TUNING IS BETTER THAN BOOSTING!!!!! |

That is exactly right. There is nothing more important with a high power engine than proper tuning.

You got that right... Mine should be tuned in a couple of weeks planning to go for the 300hp mark at 13lbs... Shouldn't be too hard. You said you have tq steer? I don't have any at all, what's your suspension like, powersteering or not? It shouldn't be doing that...

I have 457/257 springs on Koni Yellows with power steering and ES motor mount inserts. When I put it down hard off the line I get torque steer.

has any of you been to turbo-performance.com it's a great store my b16 powered 92 hb probably puts around 220-230 estimated it is boosted by a chrysler t-3 had to have the flange machined and shaved to match my standard flange t-3 manifold car pull like hell at 7 psi, but smokes oil just as good. so i said out with the chrysler pull a part 12.95$ turbo and in with a new t3/t4 hybrid along with down pipe. just ordered it today, down time really sucks but boosted is better right! wish i could have spent it on a better intercooler right now i am using a side mount eclipse intercooler that fits behind the passanger tail light kind of nifty, but only does the job with the head light out, and kick ass on layn that power down ferio and thermal
92 civic hb cx b16a2 featured now:chrysler t-3@ 7psi vortech 12:1 fmu 2nd gen. eclipse intercooler blitz dd bov custom manifold compliments of a dude in so cal. and down pipe all with custom intercooer piping coming next weekend(t3/t4)externally gated (tial 35mm .45bar) |

i'm assuming he has torque steer cuz his tranny isn't of the LSD variety while your's is. ferio should look into Phantom Grip Lsd's they convert your existing dif. to a limited slip type. |

nonovurbizniz, you nailed it. My tranny has no LSD. I plan to install a quaife LSD sometime in the near future.
