what year h22 would u put in a 94 civic del sol?

listen bro i just need some help thats why i posted it my brother has a sol saving up for a motor wants to be a beast but i have no idea when it comes to h22s so u wanna help me or be like honda-tech and just be a creative jerk?

I'd make sure you know what you/your brother are getting into before deciding on an h22... there's a LOT more to be aquired than with any B swap. Not to mention far more work.

92-95 OBD 1 H22's. I think the 96's were the first years the OBD 2's started.

An engine that old is bound to have lots of miles on it unless u happen to get an imported one from Japan from a reputable company. There are several different power ratings for H22's. They range from 220 HP to 190 HP. The Type S's and the SH's have 220 HP while the rest have 190-200 HP. Also American spec Type S's and SH's are all OBD 2. If u want an OBD 1 type S engine u have to go JDM spec. Thats what I am going with and of course what I would reccomend. Good luck. As far as the SH engines goe stay away from that engine.
