99-00 civic climate control swap
hey guys, have any of you swapped the middle portion from a 99-00 civic into your 96-98? you kno, the climate contro/ radio holder thing. i've seen this done before and i heard that you need extra parts because of the wiriing or sumthin . i'm about to buy one but i need to kno wat parts are needed b4 spending money on it. thanks for the help. also, can i use my old am/fm player in the new double din slot?

It's not usually worth the trouble, but it can be done, you have to get the interior heater harness from a 99-00 and change it out with your 96-98 one, also you will need the actuator that goes on the bottom of the heater box. Its alittle mechanical thing that connects to the outside heater switch, instead of the cable going from the console to the heater switch.

go to a junkyard, you can get the whole center console for like $40. i picked one up and ripped my old one out, gonna put the new one in when i get my car back.
