I wouldn't shoot past a 50 shot on stock internals with a civic. A 50 shot will satisfy your needs for a while but just build up the block so you'll be safe and then go for the 100 shot.

Ah Hem......
You can spray up to 75 shot on stock internals.
Read through this a bit... http://www.hondastyle.com/forums/sho...=&threadid=163 Just make sure your engine is in good working condition, i.e. - no existing problems. You will have to retard your timing about 4 degrees from stock and run sparks plugs that are two steps colder. And yes, 75 is the most you can spray while stock. That is if you want to keep your engine running.

Yes it can be done, but why take the extra chance. You can run a 50 shot all day and have no problems at all.

You can run a 75 shot all day and not have problems. There is no chance if you follow the proper steps. So in conclusion NosRocket, you can run 75 shot. Just follow the proper steps and precautions and you'll be ok.

NosRocket-through a 75 shot on there and when you blow your motor, send the bill to CivicAddict. Seriously, you have a good point but I wouldn't run that high of a shot. Just my opinion. With your expertease in the area, I can't argue with you. Or maybe I can....hehe

NosRocket, I know by now(if you're still checkin this post?) you are probably confused. Just be assured that if your engine is in good working order and you follow the directions given to you with your kit, you will be ok. 75 shot can be run on a completely(with 2 step colder plugs) stock engine. If you don't believe me, then ask ZEX. Their kit is designed to run on completely stock engines and goes up to 75 shot. The NMU(nitrous management unit) regulates the nitrous flow by taking into account the bottle presure then changing the amount of fuel to be added with the nitrous. Do you think this guy is still looking at this post? No response.....

I'm here. I think I'll stick to a 50 shot for now. When I get tired of that then I'll go with the 75. Maybe some internal work so I can squeeze a 100 shot.

I'm in all agreement with civic addict. The stock internals are fine for up to a 75 shot as long as there is proper fuel/timing retard to prevent detonation. Not even just zex says their kits are for stock usage, even NOS says so in some of their kits. All you need is colder plugs, 92+octane fuel, and a retarded distributor and you can spray a 75 shot for as long as your bottle lasts.

I had a friend that was shooting a 50 shot on his Sol.. It was pretty cool, but it still kinda felt like it was missing something.. I say do what CA says.. Make sure your car is in proper working order and do the 75 shot.
If your car cant handle a 75 shot I wouldnt even bother with a 50 shot cause over time the 50 will get you too..

Hell ya dude. ****ing 50 shot is shit, it just feels like stock. If you wanna feel real power you gotta got at least 70+. I didn't even feel the full potential of my car until I put in the 70.
