remote start
Im looking to install a remote start sytem 4 my lude, i was wondering if any of you gusy have them and what brands they are, and how they work. Any reviews/replies will help. ive benn looking at viper, infinity, and bulldog. mostly infinity
my car is 1994, dohc Vtec Manual trans

They are not made for manual trans due to safety concerns and shit.. you are gonna have to find a way to bypass that, and be careful you don't auto start the car in gear.

I do know
Compustar remote starts include a sensor that confirms the car is in neutral; if left in gear the car will not start via remote. http://www.compustar.com/remote_start.htm http://www.compustar.com/security_with_remote_start.htm To find a dealer (if you do not purchase through an authorized dealer, their lifetime warranty is void) email dealerlocator@compustar.com and tell them your zip code. Ask for the closest dealer/installer and one within 25miles as well. |

my viper 550 can starty a manual too, but it needs to extra relays, one for the clutch, and one to see if the parking brake is engaged

could you jerryrig a auto remote start the same way as the viper?

because if you just "adapt" it for manual transmission, leave it in gear and press the button...what happens? What if some dog or even a kid walked in front of the car when that happened?
I am totally against installing remote start on a manual w/o it being equipped with sensors to prevent that. |
