Alpine cd changer pinouts
This might belong in the sound section, but I need to know the pinouts on an Alpine 6disc CHM-S620. Its the "M-bus" type with eight pins. What I'm trying to figure out how to do is:
Figure out what each one of the pins are: 12v, ground, sound signal left, sound right, changer control, ???, ??? Also get the pinouts for the cd changer input on a Blaupunkt Austin HU. I going to try to make my own adapter, assuming the voltages are the same and it can be adapted. I REALLY dont want to use the fm modulator! Can it be done? Are their adapters? Would it be worth it? |

hmm, for me there would be no way of finding out unless you actually call alpine for the schematics. i would just use the fm modulator, why don't you want to use it

I'll try to find the schems, but the reason I dont want the modulator is I dont want fm quality cds. I also would rather use the changer controls on my HU rather than run all sorts of cable for a separate controller. I think I'm going to sell this changer and buy a blaupunkt 10disc instead. *sigh*.....
Anyone want an alpine 6 disc with modulator and an Infinity HU from an Eclipse for $230 ? |
