se-r turbo vs civic hatch b18c5 hybrid

I pull up to a red light and the next thing I know I'm lookin over next to me and there's this red civic hatch with some nice spoon rims and clean as hell....he looks over as do I and just kind of nod at each other. I'm like ok this should be easy. light turns green....we both tear off......his car is WAILING, i'm like damn wtf is in that thing...I finally get boost and finally find traction with my balding kumho's. 40, 50, he's right there next to me!!!! (his car is LOUD!!) 60, 70, still right up next to me, 80, 90 100 we both let off even steven, I was runnin at stock boost (6psi)..... and we couldnt get next to each other because he had to get over quick. So we pass each other...and I'm sittin here thinkin like what the hell was in that thing!!!!!???? I come to find out later from one of my buddies that he knows him and that he runs a b18c5 type-r motor and runs consisten 13.5's at the track. I gotta watch out for some of you guys....

Dang, sounds like one heck of a matchup. Just crank up the boost alittle and youll take him next time..

Thats the beauty of a turbo.

The reaction is always the best.
It's kind of weird to go up against a car you are pretty confident you are going to kill, and the next thing you know, he's right there with you.

I can only imagine your surprise.

i belive it. the JDM sr20de's run mid 14's stock. i can see 6 psi in the LIGHT classic body style sentra easly pushing 13.5 with baisc swap upgrades.

I said he runs 13.5 at the track. I ran a 14.0 about a year ago...since then I've gotten a boost controller, and a z32 fuel pump. Today I'll be throwin in a 3inch exhaust, the motor mounts and fmic will be done early next month. I expect it to run low 13's with some boost and slicks.

Nice race.

Gotta watch for those hatches. Alot of them are stock & slow, but there's a few that will suprise you. They nice & light, & perfect for swaps.....
