Not really new, but...
Not so new, but definately newb
Hey guys, I started posting on here a long-ass time ago. But it's been a while. Quick car story of Ducky. Got a free '89 Accord sedan that my brother and I had to share. He blew the transmission by neutral dropping it repeatedly. Bought a '98 Accord by bagging groceries. Had that car for 4 years. It was a DX, so it had the non-VTEC 2.3L. I did the whole I/H/E and stripped the hell out of it, it was actually pretty quick and got me into the 15s in the quarter. Not bad for an Accord. But alas, my years of beating on it caught up and I blew a giant 4" hole out the side of the block (I thought the iron sleeves were supposed to prevent that?). Before the Accord blew, I bought an '03 Volkwagen GTI. I had it for roughly a year and had nothing but trouble. The motor blew, twice (once from crankwalk, then after a week of getting it back, the head blew because the dealership forgot to tighten the timing pulley). Both cases were warrentied but still. Oh, and some dousche ran into the side of the VW, pretty sad. Anyway, I had the car for almost a year, it was a lot of fun, ran a 13.9 and did 156mph in it. But alas, I wanted something that I could tinker with and take apart... and something that hadn't been blown up and crashed. So I sold it for $16,800 (good considering I paid $15,200 for it a year and 13k miles earlier). Old car--> So now I have a different car. In April '06 I picked up a 240sx w/ SR20det. It's definately a fun car and trust me, IT REQUIRES A LOT OF TINKERING. It ran 13.6 with the stock sidemount and stock boost, now I have a FMIC and will be cranking up the boost pretty soon. I am also building it up to start doing track events, similar to NASA's HPDE. Only time will tell what happens with this car. Anyway, for those that don't know me... that's me I will try to start posting on here again. When I lost the Accord I kind of stopped. But you all are really cool. Anyway, happy '07
