Trouble with RCA's
okay here is my problem, every time i tap on my brakes my speakers would pop (like a clicking noise) i figured it would be my ground, checked it and its not that....after some researching and testing stuff, i found out it was this really old pair of RCAs we have had for quite some time (7 years). and i disconnected them and it seems it stopped but now since its winter, the front 2 speakers will still pop even though they dont work....could it be just static electricity since its so dry and cold??? help me out!!!

disconnect speaker cables from the speaker or amp, there you are, I am assuming the amp still recieves power which would be another ooption if its not a 4+way

ok so the rca's that give the signal for the fronts are disconnected.
but the speaker wire, from amp to front speakers are still connected. Are we talking about a 2 or 4 channel amp? & in what configuration are you running them?

So it's a 400a4..
From where are you getting the power for the amp? And to what is the remote turn-on for the amp?

that seems right... Proper awg wiring? Often , sudden voltage variations, cause funky behavior on certain amps.. But I doubt that the problem for your amp.. Being Rockford.. I've seen similar problems to this.. but I'd really like to know whats going on in your case.

hehe
I've pretty much got all the audio stuff I need. If possible, try hooking up another similar amp up.. with same wiring and all.. Just to see if it really was a prob with the amp.. In which case, it would deserve a dip i the trash can..
