p7j bracket and ps
So theres this nice little rumor that you cannot use the cheaper CRV AC bracket (to retain D series compressor) and keep power steering, when swapping.
(P7J bracket is like $40 new, P54 Del Sol Vtec is over $100) I really had doubts about this, because there was plenty of clearance on the top of the mount for the ps bracket. SO, today I picked up a 2001 ITR pump (FREE!) and lines (FREE!) along with a Burger King door mat (FREE!) and started test fitting when I got home from the deepest ghettos of Detroit *Note, not really the safest part of town....* Anyway, here are the pics...from what I gather, there is just enough room for it to fit...but I really need to put a compressor on it, belted, to really know for sure. Still, Im 99% positive that its gonna work. (I know the oil pump isnt on...) |

I didnt even know it was possible. I should've tried! I've had to get B-series everything: PS steering brackets/mounts, PS pump, PS pump hydraulic line to the ram, A/C bracket/torque mount, and A/C compressor. What I've noticed tho is that a standard length B-series A/C belt wil not work with a B20 crank pulley.
Anyway, yours look like it will work..... |

No no...power steering pump (so only a turd, not an asshole)
BK Mat: WOO Got a belt for it today AND a bracket in a trade! Shit is TIGHT (the adjective...not the retarded phrase) Look at this clearance on the belt and p7j! Its a 35.5" belt, btw...the stock integra belt (36.5-37") is way too long. *just fyi* Last edited by pdiggitydogg : 02-27-2006 at 07:28 PM. |
