LS vtec
ok, i have been reading what yall have been saying..... i am thining of going with LS vtec instead of the b16 SiR1, it sounds like a kick ass engine. ok now if i go with this, i did a lil research but didnt find THAT much... how much could i get a good ls vtec for? i know i need B series mounts, but i dunno what axles, ECU, any wiring, shift linkage. Or if there would be a prob with hood clearence. please fill me in on this as much as you can, sounds look a kick ass swap, but i dont know much about it at all.... thx for you help

lots of work for minimal gains... and dont count on reliability... besides... i though b20 vtecs were the new engine of chioce
you can make h23 vtecs also... but so few worked very long

bah...crvtec is the same stupid thing
its fine for track only cars, but if its daily driver, just get a c5 if you really want vtec |

dunno, i have a couple of friends who have done ls/vtec and it came out alright and their cars are daily drivers...but they put a lot of work, time, and money into their motors to get it right...on the other hand i have a lot more friends who try'd to go ls/vtec and it blew up in their face...if you thinking about putting the b16a1 motor into ur 91 hatch then i'd go for it...that hatch will move with that b16 motor...it'll move even more if u do some work to the motor...i was going to go ls/vtec too but i rather not risk it cuz i dont have a lot of money to play around with so i'll just put my jdm b16 motor into my hatch...

yeah those like to suffer from rod failures, the LS bottom end wasn't mean to spin like that nor was the CRV bottom end, you want a high revving motor, get the B18C5 and get it over with IMHO

Do what you want to do.
But I would honestly get the b16...oh wait. I did. I could have done a b20/vtec or ls/vtec but...they don't impress me as far as reliability goes.
