Final Fantasy X - 2 . . . .

To buy or not to buy.

Ok, this may sound stupid, but i have not been a fan of the FF series since 7 and 8. I need a new FF game cause i miss playing them. I will not play X because those gay puzzles are so annoying, and titus is a total chump. The story in X is good, but it gives the game no replay value since the main character evaporates at the end. Why do i want to get X-2 then?

I hear the gave has a totally new battle system with "active" and "wait" modes and that you can change your characters role in the fight (i.e. go from a majik oriented character like Aeris to a muscle head like Barret).

What do y'all think?

I really didnt like x at all...
there was no story to it
i didnt care about the characters
the main dude just "vanished" at the end
final boss you couldnt die...even if you wanted to
blitz ball was rediculously stupid...and you HAD to play to finish complete
hard rock music for the sub-final boss
speach made it too hard to skip through dialogue (yes i know you could cancel it...but it still took longer)
speach also took the imagination out of it...maybe my tidus didnt talk like a puss even though he really was one
subscreen was unchangeable...hope you like blue and yellow
very limited # of aeons...or whatever they were called
too difficult to get each character to use magic
the airship wasnt flyable...its just a teleporter
no real world map
and though Ive already said it...tidus was a puss

now, x-2:
ok its already a sequal to one of squares worst games so how would it be any good?
yuna is a summoner...now she is tomb raider britney spears?! How can you go from a religious save the world look to empowered femanist in just one game???
tidus is back...but he didnt exist in the first place
battle system that is said to be "innovative" is just several of squares older systems combined (chrono trigger is even in there)
an all female cast...sorry girls but Id like some brute force characters in there when magic and status effects doenst work (final fantasy players know what I mean...helloo BLITZ)
ONLY 3 characters?! Is this to make up for the ultra high count of characters square put into chrono cross? Probably...

ya know how fox always has really bad new shows? everyone always tunes in for the 1st episode just because they want to see how bad it is... then on the following week fox says "watch the new hit show that grossed over 10trillion viewers!"
well just because ffx sold a lot of copies (it was because it WAS a ff game...people buy it for that reason) they decide its a good idea to make a sequal to it
I really dont think this game is going to sell as many copies as square hopes...

they need to get off their ffx horse and get around to finishing the ff7 remake (which if factoring changes is the best selling highest rated ff of all time)

Very in depth reason! and your dead on about the all female cast and about ff x. But, since I havn't played it yet I can't make a judgement. I can only speculate. Either way, I do buy them just because there ff games. wierd now that I think about it. Then again, it's just like the madden games. There almost all the same every year except a few new players and stats. But people still buy them. Hmmm, maybe I should get off the FF horse???

if you really are concidering that game rent it first...most places are 3+ days of rental for games so thats a pretty good amount of time to get decently far if you have the time...then if you like it buy it...

oh...and maybe its a good time to bring back this
