Spoon engines!?!?!?!?

Ok everyone choke on this for awhile!!

I talked to a guy here in Vancouver(Washington) that owns his own import shop, he just recieved a SPOON engine for his civic. The shop had to put in $50,000 into Spoon to get this engine and two others-plus some other goodys. But the moral of the story is that the engine puts out 518hp at the fly wheel, and about 480hp at the wheels. Now according to my calculations that equals one faaaaaaaaaaast car!!

Just thought that I would share this with you

In a civic? Beauty! What is the engine? I thought spoon made (basically) parts and beefed up versions of the standard 16/18/20s. Is it just a well-tuned b18something, or is it a completely different motor design?

i think if you beef up any engine comparable to a spoon engine (i.e. a normal b18c compared to a spoon b18) your gunna be able to come out with ruffly the same hp, its just the name spoon that makes all their parts more expensive, though they might be of a better quallity, theyre still priced largely above what i would ever pay for them, even if i had the money, i myself am a JDM fanatic...i like to import everything

Ummm the spoon factory and tech shop is in japan, so as far as I think thats IMPORTING. I dont believe that they have any shops here in the states, but yes I know what you mean you like the Japanese look.

I believe that it is a B18C1 "but dont quote me on that boy, I aint said S@%T"

I was doing a little thinking about having that engine in my car and this is what I came up with

Mmmmm Spoon engine....Goooooood
Mmmmm 480 horsepower.....Gooooood
Mmmmm 0-60 under 4seconds......Gooooood
Ummmm speeding ticket for 197mph in a 60mph zone.....BAAAAAADDD
