I got walked by a B18 Hatch

So, I'm driving out with my girlfriend tonight and I get in some traffic with a white EG4 hatch. The body was a little beat up, had a cat-back exhaust with silencer tips on, and pretty nice tires on the stock steelie rims.
So, we're weaving just enough to brake free of traffic. First chance, we both punch it, and are about dead even. Then a yellow light.
We both stopped, talked for a little while (big intersection). Come to find out he had a B18 and just installed DCSports 4-1 headers and a new ignition. We talked a little bit about local meets and local shops and seemed like a pretty cool guy.
Then the light went green. I got a pretty good launch and had him through first gear. Then, (gulp, going to regret this), his VETECK kicked in and he walked him hard. I was pretty impressed that I had him for a second or two... considering that he's lighter and has 20 or 30 more ponies.

20-30 more poines with just ignition and headers? No.. headers = 5 more horsepower maybe.. and ignition = better gas mileage....nothing else.

he had a b18 swap as well gsr motor, 170 hp, if it was a b18c5 it was a type r motor. he had a good amount on the accord.

but you must be a damn good driver to beat the line on him. good job! nice try!

and not to be a d!ck but he didn't have a "eg4" unless it was RHD and illegal.

When I said 20 or 30 more ponies, I was referring to his motor over mine (f23 is the sucks). And by EG4 hatch, I just meant that body style (92-95). Then again, he could have had the LS motor and in which case, we would have been a bit closer.
