Layoffs
Man I hate that word. It looks like my company may be laying off some people. I think my friend just got laid off. I haven't had a chance to talk with him yet though.
I'm all paranoid. I've been throgh this before and didn't come out on the winning edge if you know what I mean. Guess its time to prep the resume & cover letter. *sigh*

Well shit. They just took 2 more people in "the room".
This really isn't lookin' good. And my friend did get laid off.  Only cool person that worked here.....*sigh*

well mate if you do get booted just remember it could lead to bigger and better things.
What industry are you working in? Just out of interest, why do people think its so hard to find a job? Seems to me that jobs are easy to come by. |

Alright so what job boards do you guys know of? I think I've worn out my choices....
www.monster.com www.flipdog.com I was trying to find some city, county or government work.  Those guys get paid mad cash.I can't think of any other sites off the top of my head....

The IT field is sooo hard to get into...It tool me almost 11 months to score an IT job....Good luck and I hope your not the one to go!

My sister just got layed off today....Her and 3 other co-workers...I know why they fired my sister cuz shes a trouble maker but the other 3 people have been working there for 12 years...why would u do that to them...it makes no sense to me...

Well the final tally is they axed 2 and moved one.
Got rid of our HR Director position and moved that guy to an HR Manager position in a plant. Axed my friedn and one of our Engineering Managers. We had a 'meeting' this morning. Just to let everyone know what happened. Get this. The VP said "We have more [layoffs] planned but we don't forsee them happening". What the hell kinda message is that? You might get fired, but we aren't sure yet? So if any of you are hiring Admins.....
