Sounds to me like maybe there is some depression underneath all this. I was like this at a time, where it just didn't matter if I even had friends. All I wanted to do was sit home, and if I actually went out with a friend, I found that I would get really crabby and sad, because I wanted to go home.

Its normal to be like this sometimes, but like mt. biker said....you have let it take over you. You should really talk to someone or try to find something deep inside to overcome this. Its negitive and its not healthy, especially if you've been like this for 8 yrs.

Think of all the fun and opportunities you could be missing while your at home. Maybe it seems scary, or for whatever reason, but I guarantee that once you start going out again, and change your train of thought, you will be much happier.

Im just speaking from my own personal experience
